5000T/Year Copper Rod Upcast Line for Oxygen-Free Copper Production

The 5000T per year copper rod upcast line is an advanced industrial solution designed for producing high-conductivity oxygen-free copper rod, widely used in electrical, electronics, and communication industries. This upward continuous casting (UPCAST) copper rod production line ensures stable quality, low oxygen content, and excellent mechanical performance. 1. Application & Production Capacity

This UPCAST line is designed for producing oxygen-free copper rods (Φ8–20mm) at a capacity of 17 tons per day, achieving a yearly output of 5000 tons under continuous operation. By adjusting crystallizer clamping wheels, the system can also produce copper tubes and special-shaped copper products. The line adopts a 300kg triple-body 80kW holding furnace paired with a 160kW melting furnace, providing stable molten copper with excellent thermal control.

3. Equipment Structure & Features

Triple-Body Melting & Holding Furnace

The 300kg cored power-frequency induction furnace features electromagnetic induction heating, high melting efficiency (>700kg/h), and long-life silicon-steel cores (Nissan Z10, Japan). The furnace structure uses A3 steel, refractory bricks, and castable linings for extended durability and thermal stability.

Servo-Driven Upcast Machine

Powered by Yaskawa AC servo motor, the 10-head continuous casting machine uses a high-precision gapless reducer and Japanese synchronous belt to ensure stable pulling speed and ±0.01s pitch control accuracy. A real-time liquid-level tracking system maintains optimal casting conditions.

Take-Up System

Five double-head take-up units use Siemens motors and Schneider inverters to guarantee synchronized wire arrangement, ensuring neat and uniform copper rod winding.

Cooling Water & Electrical Systems

The integrated cooling system provides controlled water distribution to crystallizers, induction coils, and jackets. The electrical system adopts Schneider contactors, Mitsubishi PLC, Mitsubishi touch screen, and CNIK instrumentation, ensuring precision and reliability.
